雨を「一度きりの出来事」として捉え直す
無償で当たり前とされてきた雨を、再現不可能な「その瞬間」として扱うことで、自然との関係性を問い直すプロジェクト。
雨は、当たり前のように降るが、
ひとつひとつが二度と同じ形では起こらない出来事である。
本作は、友人のアーティストが企画した闇市への参加をきっかけに、
雨を「資源」や「量」ではなく、
特定の日に起きた一回性の出来事として捉え直すことから始まった。
屋上で採集した雨水を、降った日ごとにろ過・煮沸し、ラベルを付けてびん詰めする。
日付は、雨を保存するための情報であると同時に、
その瞬間が二度と再現できないことを示す編集装置でもある。
Reframing rain as a one-time event
What happens when rain—something free and overlooked—is treated as a unique, non-repeatable moment?
We take rain for granted, yet no two moments of rain are ever the same.
This project began after I was invited to participate in a black market organized by a fellow artist.
Rather than treating rain as a resource or a measurable quantity,
this work reframes it as a one-time event tied to a specific day.
Rainwater collected on a rooftop was filtered, boiled, bottled, and labeled by date.
Here, the date functions not only as information, but as an editorial device—
marking each bottle as an irreversible moment in time.
