同じ雨は二度と降らない。
本作は、友人のアーティスト・橋本美和子が企画した「闇市」への参加をきっかけに、雨を「資源」や「量」ではなく、特定の日に起きた一回性の出来事として捉え直すことから始まった。
屋上で採集した雨水を、降った日ごとにろ過・煮沸し、ラベルを付けてびん詰めする。
二度と繰り返すことのない雨は、受け取る人の生きた日々と重なり、そのかけがえのなさを浮き彫りにする。
The same rain never falls twice.
This project began after I was invited to participate in a conceptual black market organized by fellow artist Miwako Hashimoto. Rather than treating rain as a resource or a measurable quantity, this work reframes it as a one-time event tied to a specific day.
Rainwater collected on a rooftop was filtered, boiled, bottled, and labeled by date.
Each bottle of rain overlaps with a day in the life of whoever takes it home, quietly reminding us of the irreplaceability of both.
